WALK-INS ALWAYS WELCOME
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept walk-in appointments?
You betchya! If we have the time available, we would be happy to tattoo you!
Please note that your best bet is to WALK IN if you’d like to be a walk-in appointment. If we have time in between appointments we would love to tattoo you!
How do you determine the price of a tattoo?
Tattoo pricing is based on the specific piece you are looking to get done. Factors that influence the price include: size, placement, design, color, client’s ability to sit still, as well as technical difficulty of the tattoo. Our shop minimum is $100 and goes up from there. To get an idea of price, it’s always best to stop in and speak with us directly. We will not price quote via email, text or a phone call because of how many variables are included.
Do you tattoo anyone under the age of 18?
We understand that Montana allows a child under the age of 18 to be tattooed with both parental consent and supervision. However, with years of experience to help us conclude our professional opinion - Cutthroat Tattoo decides against tattooing anyone underage. No exceptions.
Do you accept credit/debit cards?
Unfortunately, we do not accept any credit/debit cards. We accept *CASH ONLY* and appreciate those that come prepared. Note: There are ATM's within walking distance of the shop.
Are my friends/family able to come with me during my session?
Having a friend or family member present can always help calm your nerves. But when it's showtime, we allow only the individual getting tattooed into the work area. Note: We are a small shop and have limited seating available. We kindly ask to not brings guests for larger sessions for this reason and appreciate your understanding.
Do you have a piercer?
No.

Do I need to schedule an appointment for a consultation?
No appointments for consultations are necessary. You are more than welcome to stop in at any time during business hours to speak with us about your design ideas in person. From there, we can determine how much time you need to be scheduled and provide a price quote.

DEPOSITS
A $50.00 deposit is required to hold all appointments and goes towards the cost of your tattoo. If you are scheduled for an ALL DAY session we will ask for a $100.00 deposit.
All deposits are non-refundable and are cashed in once your tattoo is completed.
We do not require deposits for consultations or for drawing your tattoo design.

RESCHEDULING AND CANCELLING
All appointments require a 48 hour notice in order for your deposit to transfer to a rescheduled appointment. Your rescheduled appointment must be made immediately in order for your deposit to transfer and will only be transferred once.

FAILURE TO RESCHEDULE OR CANCEL LESS THAN 48 HOURS BEFORE YOUR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT WILL RESULT IN THE DEPOSIT BEING FORFEITED TO THE ARTIST.

If a deposit is forfeited prior to finishing a multiple session tattoo, another deposit will be required to book future appointments. If a client does not call or show up for an appointment, the deposit amount is doubled to book future appointments.

DRAWING

Our artists draw the night before or the day of your appointment so they are tattooing something that is fresh in their mind. When you come in for your tattoo appointment there is time to make minor changes to the drawing before getting tattooed. If you want to change your idea that may change the length of your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible if the entire idea has been changed. If you show up to your appointment with an entirely different idea, your artist has the option to reschedule your appointment and your deposit will be forfeited.

TOUCH UPS

We offer complimentary touch ups for tattoos within six months, excluding those on the hands, feet and other areas that are more prone to ink falling out due to placement or scar tissue. If you are planning to get another tattoo by the same artist in the near future, we encourage you to wait until your next appointment and combine the two.

Touch ups required due to improper aftercare are not complimentary. Email a photo of your tattoo to the shop if you have questions.
